Some of the pictures I took in Savannah while I was at the AMPPR Conference, February, 2002:

Azaleas

Remember, this was February in Savannah!

Fountain in Square in Savannah

I love the collection of squares that dot downtown Savannah, and make it a special city, and I suspect a livable one in the hot weather.
    Monument in Square

I don't know who's honored here, but I wonder if a good Yankee would approve?

Savannah Square 2

Even in February the squares provided a coolness away from the hot sun.

Savannah Square 3

I didn't have a newspaper, but I could imagine spending Sunday morning reading mine here.

Spanish Moss

I suspect the moss is greener another time of the year.  In February it clung to the trees like so many old rags.

dancers getting ready

I went to the Irish Festival after my conference was over... These amazing kids were waiting their turn to dance.

And these were only waiting for the downbeat.

Susan Hammond and ME

At the conference I got my picture taken with the producer of the wonderful  "Classical Kids"... Susan Hammond,  from Toronto.

I took some of them, but Hal Prentice from WKAR in East Lansing, and Howard Cornelsen from Texas
took a lot of the others.
